Innovation

Alchemy creates value from Green CO₂ recovered from organic waste processing to decarbonize the industrial sector and promote a more circular, sustainable economy.

Organic waste (-agricultural waste, food waste, municipal solid waste, and more) - is a natural by-product of our economy. These carbon wastes, which would decompose and return to the atmosphere in a business-as-usual scenario, can be transformed to create renewable natural gas and Green CO₂, displacing fossil-derived products and enabling a net-zero economy.

Our projects capture the Green CO₂ that is a by-product of renewable natural gas generated from the anaerobic digestion of organic waste. Anaerobic digestion naturally breaks down organic matter to produce biogas, which primarily consists of methane and carbon dioxide. This biogas is purified to produce renewable natural gas, producing the Green CO₂ by-product.

Once the Green CO₂ is captured, it is compressed, purified, and liquified before being delivered to our local commercial customers who utilize our Green CO₂ to create value-added products that are more climate-beneficial than the fossil-derived incumbent products. Without our intervention, this Green CO₂ from waste biomass would be released into the atmosphere.
